Priya Ahuja Quits Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah; Actress Recalls Exiting The Show After A Disagreement With Makers
Television actress Priya Ahuja Rajda and her husband, director Malav Rajda have been on the forefront, when it comes to discussing the issues they faced when they worked in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. In an interview with Telly Chakkar, both of them had opened up about the Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal controversy and shared their thoughts on the same a few months ago. From talking about if the makers had ever misbehaved with her to recalling a time when she had quit the show for 3 months, as she couldn’t handle her other work commitments.

In the interview the husband-wife denied when asked about if the people of the set ever misbehaved with them. Priya revealed that she shared an amazing relationship with Asit Kumarr Modi, Sohil Ramani and Jatin Bajaj and that they treated her like family. Malav, who was the director of the show at the time, revealed that he never saw them misbehave with the cast as these things often took place on call or in their office. During their interaction, the entertainment portal also asked Priya if she had ever signed a contract with the makers like her other co-stars. Denying ot she called her lucky as she was able to shoot for other projects outside of Taarak. Recalling the incident where she had to quit the show for three months, she explained that she had to shoot for TMKOC only 7-10 days as she had two more shows to work on. Priya added, “There was a Ganpati sequence and I had done a considerable amount of work. I had then put my point clear that I will work on other projects also. But Asit bhai wanted me to come for the Ganpati shoot. However, I also understood his problem. Malav will also agree as festival sequences are very hectic. But I couldn't manage this show with the other two shows. I told them that I will only be able to come at a particular time. We had an argument and then I decided that I will not do the show.”

While they called her back after three months, she “went there with my terms and conditions and did not sign any exclusive contract.”
